Overview

Grange Transport are hiring PASSENGER ASSISTANTS on a part time basis within Northamptonshire.

We are currently recruiting reliable, kind and caring part time passenger assistants to look after children or young adults with special needs for home to school transportation.

  • Requirements

Experience working with children & young adults is desirable but not essential

Kettering
Northampton
Wellingborough

Working Hours

Monday – Friday Shift Patterns Available, Working 15 to 20 hours per week. Term time only.

Responsibilities

As a passenger assistant for Grange Transport your job will consist of various duties including but not limited to:

  • The care of children to school, college or day care centres.
  • To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner.
  • To support children or adults getting on and off from the vehicles.
  • To look after the needs of the passengers during the journey (training is provided).
  • To make sure that passengers are always safe.

Application Requirements

  • Experience working with children is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience working with special needs is an advantage but not essential.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • PATS Certificate (The company will provide this training)
  • Fully enhanced DBS criminal record check as you will be working with children, young persons and or vulnerable adults. (Completed by the company)
  • You should have a friendly and positive attitude, enjoy working with children and be reliable.
  • Ability and willingness to work with children of varying needs.
  • Previous experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • To be able to push wheelchairs for short distances if required and kneel down to strap them securely in the vehicle.
