Terms of Service
By making a booking with Grange Transport—whether for Private Hire services or through GT Autos Garage Services—you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms apply to all bookings made via our website, over the phone, by email, or in person. Separate terms apply to Private Hire and Garage Services to reflect the nature of the services provided. Please read the relevant section carefully before making a booking.
Private Hire Terms (Grange Transport – Private Hire Services)
Booking Confirmation & Payments
- All Private Hire bookings are subject to availability and will be confirmed by our team in writing (email or text) or verbally.
- For any bookings over £500, we require a 10% deposit to secure the booking. This deposit is nonrefundable under any circumstances. The remaining balance must be paid in full 2 days before the date of booking. Any bookings that are under £500 must be paid in full 2 days prior to booking.
- Full payment terms, including deposit deadlines and balance due dates, will be outlined in your booking confirmation.
- Failure to pay deposits or outstanding balances on time may result in cancellation of the booking.
Cancellations & Amendments
- All cancellations must be made in writing (email or text) or by phone as soon as possible.
- All cancellations will result in the loss of the deposit paid at the time of booking.
- If the booking has been paid in full, we reserve the right to withhold 10% of the total booking fee to cover administrative and scheduling costs.
- If a cancellation is made more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled hire time, a full refund will be issued, excluding the deposit amount.
- Any requested changes to the date, time, or service type are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
Passenger Conduct & Safety
- Passengers must always adhere to the driver’s safety instructions and behave in a respectful and responsible manner throughout the journey. This includes wearing seat belts where fitted, remaining seated while the vehicle is in motion, and refraining from any behaviour that could distract the driver or endanger others.
- Alcohol, smoking, vaping, or the use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited on board any Grange Transport vehicle. If any such activity is identified, the driver reserves the right to terminate the journey immediately, and no refund will be issued.
- Any damage caused to the vehicle by passengers—whether accidental or deliberate—will be the financial responsibility of the lead booking party. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to seats, fixtures, windows, and any additional cleaning required due to spillages, illness, or misuse of the vehicle.
- Grange Transport will not be held liable for any personal belongings brought onto the vehicle. Passengers are responsible for their own possessions at all times. We strongly advise that valuables are kept with you and not left unattended. Any items left behind will be kept for a limited period, but we cannot guarantee their safety or condition.
Delays & Unforeseen Circumstances
- We will make every effort to arrive on time, but we cannot be held liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.
- In the event of mechanical failure or breakdown, we will arrange alternative transport where possible or issue a refund if we are unable to complete the journey.
Garage Terms (GT Autos Garage Services)
Booking & Service Approvals
- All garage bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by GT Autos.
- Service estimates provided before or at the time of booking are approximate and based on the information supplied. Any additional work required will be discussed before proceeding.
- No additional repairs or services will be carried out without your prior approval.
Parts, Warranty & Guarantee
- All parts supplied by GT Autos come with a warranty from our supplier, if specified at the time of fitting.
- Warranty durations and terms may vary depending on the part and the supplier and will be confirmed to you where applicable.
- In the unlikely event that a fault arises from a part we have supplied and fitted, or from work we have completed, we will carry out an inspection to determine the cause of the issue. Following this assessment, we reserve the right to either carry out the necessary repairs or replacement free of charge under the applicable warranty or guarantee, or if the fault is found to be unrelated to our original work, caused by external factors, misuse, or general wear and tear, we will advise you of any additional charges before proceeding with further work.
Vehicle Collection & Storage
- Customers must collect their vehicle within 48 hours of the work being completed unless otherwise agreed.
- Vehicles left beyond this period may incur a daily storage fee, which will be disclosed at the time of booking.
Payment Terms
- Payment for all services must be made in full upon collection of the vehicle, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- An invoice will be issued once the agreed work has been completed.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, debit/credit card, and bank transfer.
Liability & Loss
- We take every reasonable measure to protect your vehicle and belongings. However, we are not liable for loss or damage to items left in vehicles.
- GT Autos is not responsible for any pre-existing faults or defects that were not identified at the time of inspection.
